It was great to see so many of you turn out last month for the challenging second round of the exodus sponsored Spring Series. This weekend we move on to Crowthorne Wood, a great favourite with many of you.

Surrey Hill played host to a stunning turnout of riders and a really great buzzing atmosphere. The course was described by many as hard but fair, a real mountain bike race course that tested enough so your legs will feel it in the morning.

After last month's tremendous event at Tunnel Hill we are at Surrey Hill for the second round of the Spring Series. Other than the series points to be won there will also be a Prize Draw, for all entrants over 18, for a holiday in Spain courtesy of exodus.

The series kicked off with a blinder at Tunnel Hill on Sunday. 530 racers enjoyed fast, swooping, jumpy trails - many riders using semi-slicks for the dry conditions. Read on for the results and photograph links will be available soon.

It's Spring Series time again starting on Sunday 28 January 2007. Our mountain bike race series is the regular kick starter for the season ahead, so as always there will be a great turnout, with Tunnel Hill, Pirbright the first venue and what a cracker it promises to be!

The fine conditions drew you out in your hundreds... in fact almost 500 enjoyed Crowthorne at it's best; a great mix of fast flowing trails, tight and twisty bits plus the old faithful Corkscrew to keep you attentive.

Female mountain bikers wanted for research

Roehampton University are conducting a high-level study into competitive women mountain bikers. They will be collecting and analysing all manner of useful data, initially during the early Gorrick Spring Races.
