Nine Gorrick's in 2005 and thanks to some excellent judgement by Jon Lucas and his team not one drop of rain has passed at any of the events from February through November.

The final Gorrick race of the year has come about pretty fast - it seems like only the other day that I was getting beat by Jenn O’Connor and Bec Webb around the Corkscrew!

A Hard Day's Night race report

Gorrick MBC hosted the most exciting race of the year on Saturday when riders pitted their wits against a fast and technical two mile course once in the day and once after dark.

My Best Race Ever...and my worst!

After a busy XC racing calendar, I took a bit of a rest before taking stock and moving into my winter training regime. For the last two weeks I have been getting in the miles and into the end of last week I felt super strong and was motivated to go to Gorrick's day and night race and put in a good result.

Who could have asked for a better October day; warm sunshine, dry trails and a moonlit sky for the night races. A new concept in mountain bike racing A Hard Day's Night pitted riders speed and endurance over two races, one during daylight the second in full darkness.

Champions crowned and new rivalries forged

The penultimate round of the south's premier XC series saw titles decided and new rivalries forged on a real mountain bikers course at Surrey Hill. Five miles of dry singletrack, rooty downhills and a mini downhill course with jumps tested even locals, with many trails being run backward to add variety.
