Skedaddle Spring Series R1: Results & Photos - Icy start to the racing

Well done to everyone who raced Round 1 of the Skedaddle Spring Series today at Area 51. It sure was cold out there, reading -5degC when setting up the arena at 7am. But you seemed to like the course, which ran mostly in reverse to previous visits such is the nature of the trails at our disposal. There was plenty of frost in the shaded areas and icy earth became somewhat hazardous after plenty of tyres groomed the trails, even necessitating a short reroute mid-race to avoid the sketchy climb and precipitous Cliffhanger - which the riders welcomed.

Our thanks to headline sponsor Saddle Skedaddle, Four4th Lights and the supporting local bike shops who help to make this such a great Series. The points table will be updated during the week and remember you need to score in three out of the four rounds to qualify in the Series and be eligible for a Series prize. Series trophies for the winners of each category will be presented at the final round of the Series.
Next up is the third and final round of the Brass Monkeys at WBR, Bordon - a new long term venue that shows good promise of offering all the usual Gorrick trademark features. Please remember this event is by PRE-ENTRY ONLY.
