Saddle Skedaddle supporting the 2011 Spring Series, more info...

Welcome one and all to 2011 and the inaugural Gorrick Spring Series race. New trails, new faces, new bikes, even a fast moving tandem - it was all to be seen at Crowthorne. If you stayed away with thoughts of avoiding muddy trails, well you missed a blinder. The team had been hard at work all week preparing new singletrack, reclaiming old forgotten trails and draining the worst of the puddles. Any remaining water was quickly splashed away to leave a track that rode oh so well, with some tight and twisty bits to reward good bike handling.

Results and Photographs

You can access the full results, with lap times via the link above this item, and Joolze Dymonds photographs will be uploading during the night. Spot yourself in a good pose? Buy one of her high resolution images for your pc or get a mug to drink from with your favourite photo on.

Holiday Prize Draw

Headline sponsor Saddle Skedaddle Holidays have supported our events for a few years now and at each round there are holidays to be won in the prize draw with a race numberplate selected at random. Just by entering you have a chance to win. The lucky winners were #1014 Helen Major in Sport and #632 Stuart Kelly in Fun. Well done to you both.

Series Points

The all important Series Points awarded to the top 15 finishers of each race will be calculated and published later in the week. A full list of sponsors and category prizes will be available shortly.

Spring Round 2

Looking ahead to Round 2 on the 6th February, Heath Warren Wood is a venue that we're bringing back into use after a couple of years break. The terrain is not dissimilar to Crowthorne in terms of elevation but the flow of the trails is quite different. There's plenty more hard work going in to get it fully prepped including some new bridges. Can't wait!

Brass Monkeys Enduro R3

Next weekend is the third and final round of the Merida Brass Monkeys Winter Enduro Series to be held at Parkhurst Hill near Aldershot. Full details on the 1hr, 2hr and 4hr categories are available at www.meridabrassmonkeys.com. Online entry will close when full which is likely to be sometime in the middle of this week. There is NO ENTRY ON THE DAY, so please do not hesitate, enter today.
