Saddle Skedaddle Spring Series 2 Results - Tunnel Hill

Thankfully the weather did play ball this week after last weekends postponement, but there were still remnants of snow and ice and a heck of lot water in the car park, though as is typical of Tunnel Hill the course was riding very well despite the snow melt. We hope you enjoyed the delights the course had to offer and look forward to seeing you all at Crowthorne for Round 3 on the 1st March - online and postal entry is open until 24th February.

Our photographer Joolze Dymond was out and about taking photos which are now available via the link above. You can buy all manner of high resolution images for your pc desktop, hardcopy prints and more. Her full race report is to follow and expect to see it published soon in MBUK Magazine.

In the Saddle Skedaddle sponsored prize draw for a mountain biking holiday a finishing position was selected at random. It turned out to be the Open category that was drawn and the rider who placed 41st would win. Little did he know it whilst racing but Chris Absolom was riding himself into that winning position, congratulations. Now there's an incentive for you all to come along and give the next race a go.

Please note that the published results at Timelaps are provisional and will become final after seven days. If you have any issues with them please notify Gorrick via email within 2 days of their publication. Protests against other riders can only be placed at the event within 30 minutes of the results being published.

Sorry to say we had reports from riders and spectators on course reporting riders cutting the course and gaining position on fellow competitors, despite the marker tape and arrows being in position. We will not tolerate such unsportsmanlike behaviour and may subject you to a penalty or disqualification.

The Series Points will be updated and published later this week as we start to see whose winter training has paid off with consistent results. At round 3, the top 10 riders of the main Series categories will be gridded. Also at Round 3 in just two weeks time is the annual Varsity Race between Cambridge and Oxford starting at 2.20pm. Two additional Varsity categories are now available for Online entry at MBSA.

Proof positive that the snow and ice was still present,
but not enough to disrupt racing.
