Well we're underway, and what a way to start, with nearly 700 of you turning out for Round 1 of our Spring Series sponsored by Saddle Skedaddle. The rapidly deteriorating conditions early on, meant that we had to make a quick decision to take out a section of course so that you didn't suffer too much. If you were a first timer today, please be assured that it isn't always as tough as today and do come back again for the delights of Tunnel Hill! You will therefore find comparing lap times between races makes for some large differences.

We are pleased to welcome aboard Joolze Dymond and Dave (aka Mr.Joolze) as the event photographers. They always manage to capture the action in a unique way and every rider should be able to find a photo or two on www.joolzedymond.com.

Also joining forces with us for 2009 as title sponsor of the Spring Series is Saddle Skedaddle - the UK’s biggest independent cycle holiday provider. At selected rounds there is a prize draw which was won by James Huggett who was 37th in Fun. Saddle Skedaddle head honcho Paul Snedker was on hand to award a delighted James his holiday.

The large entry did mean that the results were unable to be posted during the day and were a tad slow going up on the website, but Timelaps have resolved it.

Round 2 at Tunnel Hill is next on the agenda on 8th February, enter online now to save queuing and save money. We look forward to a similar course that was used in the Senior Champs with our firm favourite trails; P45, Banana Split, Deja Vu and more. See you there.
