What? When? Where?
Exodus Spring Series Event 1 - Sunday 27 January 2008 at Tunnel Hill, Pirbright

As is the tradition, we kick off the mountain bike racing season with our now legendary Spring Series of 5 races. Sponsored once again by Exodus Travels these popular events regularly attract huge fields of riders from across the South and beyond. But it's not just a Series for seasoned racers, there are also categories for Fun and Beginner riders, as we all like to make a commitment to get out there at this time of the year.

Some new features for this year include:

  • Separate Categories for Master Female and Veteran Female riders and
  • Lower Age Limits in several ability categories.

However the features you love are still there; online pre-entries, entry express, entry on the day, trophies to the top 10%, a race photographer, Fun & Beginners Categories and of course great established race venues.

Round 1 takes place at TUNNEL HILL, PIRBRIGHT, and will be signed from the A322 between the M3 junction 4 and Farnborough, with a new entrance from previous years. For the Sat Nav fans GU12 5RR is the nearest postcode which is Keogh Barracks. If you're approaching from Mytchett continue on Mytchett Place Road past the Barracks for 600m to the venue entrance on your left. Once into the venue please continue past the Registration/Start area to the car park at the top of the hill. You can locate additional information such as the proximity of railway stations on the Venues page.

Racing starts at 9.30am and continues all day with category races for all ages and abilities. Whilst the top riders will be vying for points in the Series categories, which are supported by all your favourite local retailers, everyone will have an opportunity to win a stunning Exodus holiday in the prize draw, which is open to every rider taking part aged over 18.

In related Spring Series news, Round 2 has been forced to change venue to Surrey Hill.

We look forward to seeing you there.
