Exodus Spring Series Round 5 Results - Frith Hill

The final round of the Spring Series is done and dusted with winners crowned and many new faces taking part to give our highest entries for some years. I know many riders today were pleased to race a course under dry conditions after last weekends rainy exploits at the National Series, so that's five rounds all held in near dry conditions, if we ignore the 'swampy section' at Crowthorne! We'd like to encourage you to ride venues such as Frith Hill, Porridgepot Hill and Tunnel Hill on your leisure rides, it keeps the trails clear and bedded in, and as you no doubt noticed the course planners found even more bombholes to wind through so you might want to go and practice those. The three venues mentioned are all within a few miles of each other so can make for a good ride out. The Gorrick Team hope you've enjoyed the many and varied courses and venues all with some unique features, let us know your feedback by e-mail at info@gorrick.com.

Many thanks to all the category sponsors who've supported the series and stumped up holiday vouchers, shop vouchers and cash prizes. The final awards were all made today and a full summary of the series podiums with points will be available on the website during Monday. Title sponsor Exodus Travel have provided holiday prize vouchers through the series for the random prize draw, today Steve Jones (AW Cycles) was the lucky winner, he also walked away a very happy man with second place overall in the Veteran's Series.

Looking ahead to our next race, we are pleased to be hosting the fourth round of the Southern XC race at Yateley Heath on the 2nd September. Don't be put off by the Southern XC tag - you can expect all the usual Gorrick organisation and many of the same riders turn up. Do check the entry form as the start times are different to our standard ones.

Race number board sponsor Mountain Trax is moving to new premises at Barkham - just a couple of miles west of the current location - on the 1st June. The shop will be closed for the two days preceding the 1st June to move stock. The new venue is a self-contained unit with more floor space for products and dedicated parking. Full details at www.mountain-trax.com.

See you all again soon.
