Southern XC round 5 results

The grand finale of the Southern Series rolled into a surprisingly dry and dusty Yateley Heath, where many riders were expecting puddles, mud and slippery roots. But even the light morning rain did nothing to alter the character of what was a very fast course &150; though only if you had the power to push on into the strong wind and up the hills. By 12pm the rain had cleared and the heat was turned up by what seemed like 10 degrees C as the sun came out causing a few to suffer cramped legs. Regular Yateley racers familiar with a typical course here found it run almost in reverse, bar the old favourite Ten Pint Run through the tightly wooded copse.
