As you will know by now if you were pre-entered and have received your email
with a full explanation and a choice of entry options, we have had to
postpone Round 1 of the Merida Brass Monkeys Series.
Round 1 will now be Sunday 18 December, Sunday 8 January will be Round 2 and another Round will be added in the New Year to complete the Series.
We share your frustration and disappointment. Thank you for your support,

We like to think that our events are always very welcoming and over the
years many riders and their supporters have become our friends. Daran
Blackwell has been a regular rider since our earliest days and his father
Dudley was his greatest supporter - always at the events cheering him on.
We were therefore very sad to hear that Dudley had passed away in March, and
our sympathies are with Daran and his family. He was a lovely character and
will be missed.
Winter thermals were the order of the day as racers were greeted by cold and frosty conditions. Nonetheless the racing was HOT. Considering Crowthorne Wood has been Gorrick's spiritual home for nearly 25 years the course is always fresh. And once again the trail team mixed it up so you never quite knew what surprises laid around the next bend, of which there many, and roots...
Area 51 near Tunnel Hill was the venue for Round 1 of the Autumn Classics. The venue has only been used twice before and is quickly establishing itself as a fun but tough course to race. The hills may seem short but they're steep punchy little numbers, and the singletrack is unrelenting in a flowy twisty turny fashion...

We're pleased to announce the dates and venues for all these events...
I'll keep this brief for now - somewhat bleary eyed - and will add more later. Wow what an amazing weekend of biking fun. A massive thanks to all the riders, spectators, and the staff who made 12:12 happen for the ninth year. For now you can check your results above, and links to photographs by Kevin Sheldrake will follow...

The 5.6 mile course gradually wound it's way up to the high point of Caesar's Camp where plenty of fun trails were awaiting. The highlight of this venue is always the long descent returning toward the arena and yet again it was great fun with a mix of jumps, drops and fabulous flowing singletrack. Our resident photographer Kevin Sheldrake nestled down below one of the drops to catch your moments of airtime, lookout for the link to his photos soon.
There was plenty of racing to be had in all categories as the 2hr riders started the day early to get home before lunch and Fathers Day celebrations. Leaving the 3, 4 and 6hr riders to continue on into a sunny afternoon, perfect race conditions with a dry track. You can review all your lap times and final positions via the Results link above. Gorrick is grateful for all the support from our sponsors, and Merida and Four4th Lights for the large prize pool.
Our next race event is always the biggest of the year - 12:12 TORQ in your Sleep on the August Bank Holiday weekend. Please get your entries in now. Don't forget in addition to the main 12 hour race is the 6 hour option, plus Childrens Events on Saturday.
