Gorrick Kawasaki 100 Enduro Challenge - Results

by Paul Howard, 04 May 14. Results [  ]

Whatever distance you chose to ride the Kawasaki Enduro is always a challenge. It can be just as tough for the one lap newcomers as for the crazy seven lappers completing 70 miles. Either way, to finish is very rewarding so give yourselves a pat on the back, if the aching muscles allow. The course building team had somehow managed to intertwine 10 miles of glorious fun trails into Windmill Hill and Porridgepot Hill, with what felt like far more descending than climbing - how did they do that? Answers on a postcard please, Facebook will do.

We're very grateful to all the sponsors and the prizes they gave. Courtesy of Kawasaki and their amazing motorbikes on display, some very lucky riders won British Super Bike Tickets and a day at the Mick Extance Experience. Two such winners were Tim Dunford riding for Team Mountain Trax Vauxhall Motors who blitzed the seven laps in just 5hrs 17m, and Amanda Brooks (Freeborn Cycles / Hansgrohe) completing in 6hrs 31m. Well done to you both and everyone else.

The next event on the racing agenda is the Merida Summer Monkey Enduro on 1st June at Caesar's Camp. Full information is on the Summer Monkey page on the Gorrick website but please be aware this event is PRE-ENTRY ONLY, there is NO entry on the day.
