With the Southern part of the UK snugly coated in a huge blanket of snow early February, the postponed second round of the Spring Series visited the popular Tunnel Hill venue.

Thankfully the weather played ball this week after last weekends postponement. Tunnel Hill was riding incredibly well despite the last remnants of snow and ice melting away to cause a few gloopy bits but nothing like the sufferfest or round 1 at Yateley.

RACE POSTPONED:
Dear Riders,
We are very sorry to announce, but after having a last look at the conditions at Tunnel Hill we must postpone Round 2. The good news is that it will now be held on the following Sunday 15th February.
Riders safety and enjoyment are always our priorities and we believe that the deep snow and ice there would significantly increase the likelihood of accidents and mean that some parts of the course could not be reached quickly by paramedics. The venue is now extremely tricky to access by vehicle and park at, as is the riding. All pre-entries will be carried over and pre-entry will be opened again on Saturday until next Tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Well what a cracking if not muddy start to a fabulous new XC year. A great mix of; young, old, new & experienced took part in the first part of the Saddle Skedaddle Gorrick Spring Series.

Autumn Classic Results

So it rained in Brazil for the F1 finale and our season closer at Crowthorne wasn't immune either. As Hamilton, Massa and co' teetered round on tarmac we were faced with proper puddles and slippy mud making tyre choice paramount. It didn't stop a great turnout enjoying the 16th Autumn Classic.

The recurring theme for 2008 struck again at Tilford as trails became awash with rainwater, but it didn't deter a large number of riders from taking part.
