The revamped Barley Mow at Tilford hosted the second TrailTrax Navigation event of the year. Conditions were favourable as always in this picturesque Surrey village as riders negotiated the challenges of the many bridleways, byways and sandy commons the area has to offer. Dave Brothers (an ex-local who knows the land intimately) laid out the checkpoints. He cleverly placed the venue in the upper most North East corner bringing land into play not used before as far as Bramshott. So get a high or clearance score required a good deal of new navigation and a fair amount of climbing. I wonder how much ascent the winners did? Let us know on the Facebook thread. Round 3 is just a month away on the 7th August at Cheriton on the South Downs.
